Freeing Memory by Disabling Wallpaper

Disabling User Wallpaper

Microsoft Windows allows you to choose a picture to show as wallpaper on your desktop. However, this can dramatically slow your computer down. It is far better to have a solid colour background.

  1. Close all programs.

  2. From the Windows taskbar, click on the START button.

  3. Choose SETTINGS.

  4. Choose CONTROL PANEL.

  5. Double click DISPLAY.

  6. Choose the Background tab, then set both the PATTERN and WALLPAPER to NONE.

  7. Choose OK.
