Hardware devices behave strangely after applying Windows updates

After applying Service Packs or patches to Windows, hardware devices (printer, mouse, video, etc) may behave strangely or differently.

One possible remedy is to visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and check for updated device drivers.

If no device drivers are available under Windows Update, visit the Vendor's website to obtain the latest drivers.
