Error Starting Windows Process Activation Service/IIS

Windows Process Activation Service may not start with Error 13: Data is invalid.

This may prevent other services, such as World Wide Web Publishing Service (IIS), from starting.

This may occur if applicationHost.config in C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config is damaged, empty or missing. Restore a backup copy.
