Microsoft 365 — Additional Sign-In Prompts

When signing into Microsoft 365, users may be prompted for additional information: “More information required. Your organization needs more information to keep your account secure.

This is due to the “Security Defaults”. If this is not required, it may be disabled as follows:

  1. Navigate to the Azure Active Directory Admin Centre.

  2. Click on Azure Active Directory.

  3. Scroll down to Properties.

  4. Scroll down to Manage Security Defaults.

  5. Switch Enable Security Defaults to No.
