Adobe InDesign: Unable to Print to PDF

When printing from Adobe InDesign to the Adobe PDF printer, the application stops with an error.

However, other applications are able to create a PDF by printing to the Adobe PDF printer.

This may be resolved as follows:

1. In the InDesign Print dialog, choose [Default] under Print Preset.

2. Change the printer to Adobe PDF.

3. Choose Print.

If this does not help, Export the file to PDF instead by using File → Export.
