MacOS — FileVault

FileVault is MacOS' whole disk encryption scheme. It is often enabled when the machine is first set up.

To determine if FileVault is enabled:

1. Click the Apple logo in the top left and choose System Preferences.

2. Click Security & Privacy.

3. Click FileVault.
