Audio Device Graph Isolation Consumes CPU, RAM, Disk Activity

The Audio Device Graph Isolation service (audiodg.exe) may consume 100% of CPU, leak memory or create a lot of disk activity, causing sluggish performance in Windows or audio playback.

One resolution for this may be to uninstall all OEM audio components from Programs and Features, and uninstall devices from Device Manager. Then reboot and let Windows install default drivers.
