Upgrading iPhone/iPad to iOS 11

Before Updating to iOS 11

• Ensure the device is backed up.

• Ensure all apps have been updated using App Store → Updates.

• Check which apps will stop working under Settings → General → About → Applications.

• Check you can access your Apple account properly. Log in at https://www.icloud.com and https://appleid.apple.com.

• If you use a mailbox hosted on Exchange 2016 (on-premises), Office 365 or Outlook.com, the inbuilt Mail app will not connect properly. In this circumstance you can use Outlook for iOS or delay the installation of iOS 11. This issue has now been fixed in iOS 11.0.1.

After Updating to iOS 11

• Consider enabling Do Not Disturb While Driving.

  Go to Settings → Do Not Disturb → Do Not Disturb While Driving → Automatically.

• If you updated to iOS 11.0, update to 11.0.1, which contains many security fixes.
