Microsoft Outlook Search Returns No Results

Microsoft Outlook may not return any search results, despite the fact the Windows Indexing service seems to be working, has been rebuilt and shows a large number of items indexing.

One reason this may occur for POP accounts with Personal Folder (PST) files is that the Outlook profile is damaged. An indication of this is that the profile clearly has a PST file which is working correctly in the Outlook window but the profile settings dialog does not show it listed. It is also not possible to add the PST file to the profile.

Delete and recreate the profile.
