Cordless Phone Interferes with Wireless NetworkingMany cordless phones operate on a radio frequency of 2.4GHz. However, Wireless LAN connections using 802.11b (the 11Mbps standard) and 802.11g (the 54Mbps standard), also operate on this frequency. Thus when the phone is used, you may experience poor throughput of the wireless LAN connection, or dropouts, or interference/static on the phone, or a combination of all.
