Securing Twitter AccountsTwitter allows apps to access a Twitter account through a secret token code, which survives a password reset. If you change your Twitter password, any new apps must be granted access to the token via the password, but any existing apps with access will continue to have access even if the password is changed. Thus it is important, when securing a Twitter account, and particularly if a device (smartphone etc) has been stolen or lost, that all access to the Twitter account is revoked.
