Using A Trusted Certificate on Windows Remote Desktop / Terminal ServicesTo use a trusted certificate on Windows Server Remote Desktop (Terminal Services): Windows 2008 R2- Open All Programs → Administrative Tools → Remote Desktop Services → Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.
- Under Connections, double-click RDP-Tcp.
- Under the General tab, choose Select.
Select the desired certificate. - Ensure Security Layer is set to Negotiate or SSL (TLS 1.0).
- Click OK.
Windows 2008- Open All Programs → Administrative Tools → Terminal Services → Terminal Services Configuration.
- Under Connections, double-click RDP-Tcp.
- Under the General tab, choose Select.
Select the desired certificate. - Ensure Security Layer is set to Negotiate or SSL (TLS 1.0).
- Click OK.
