Cannot Remove Orphaned McAfee Services

After uninstalling some McAfee products, there may be some services remaining on the system. The services cannot be stopped, disabled or deleted easily due to the permissions set.

These may be removed with the McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) Tool.

The services are:

• McAfee Firewall Core Service (mfefire)

• McAfee Service Controller (mfemms)

• McAfee Validation Trust Protection Service (mfevtp)
