Cadzow 2000 Startup Errors — Error Writing to Data File

When launching Cadzow 2000, you may receive one of the following errors:

  • STOP! There has been an error writing to the data file. You might be experiencing a network or data problem. Please exit Cadzow.

  • STOP! There has been an error writing to the data file. You might be experiencing a network or data problem. Cadzow will now exit.

This may be caused by low memory. See Low Memory Problems.

It may also be caused by a very old MDAC stack when used with SQL Server data files. Install MDAC 2.1 (at least), or preferably MDAC 2.5, or the highest MDAC for your operating system. Windows Vista and above contain suitable version of MDAC.
